The installation of 8 new sculptures on July 9 went smoothly. Sculptures from 2006-07 were removed and the new sculptures for 2007-08 were slipped into place with a grace that belied the weight of these tremendous pieces. Volunteers of the WCPA, staff of the City of Wilsonville and artists worked together to make this an efficient installation. Daneal Construction donated the boom truck and Matt Baker of the City of Wilsonville Public Works Department handled the controls. Nosivad is both a welder and an artist, and today he welded all pieces including two of his own. Keith and Molly of the WCPA provided support. Jesse handled the installation details. Peggy conducted traffic. Amanda of the Spokesman photographed the action for the local news. Here are some scenes from the day:
